April 2005 Nashville Tour

 

 

We embarked on our first major tour to TN April 20-25. This picture was taken outside the Renaisssance Center in Dickson before our morning concert for the patrons there.

After arriving in Nashville and enjoying a wonderful BBQ buffet with banana pudding for dessert provided by St. Joseph's Catholic Church, we had our first rehearsal with the orchestra in Nashville.

On Thursday, April 21, Terry and Debora Smith treated the group to a wonderful houseboat excursion on the river.

Thursday evening, we performed a first tour concert at St. Marks United Methodist Church in Murfreesboro, TN.

Our morning concert on April 22 was held at the Renaissance Center in Dickson, TN.

Our evening concert on April 22 was performed at Madison Street United Methodist Church in Clarksville, TN.

We took a break on Saturday, April 23, to go explore the Opryland Hotel and posed under the sign, "Bell Services."

Our evening concert on April 23 was held at Blakemore United Methodist Church, Nashville, TN.

We played for worship Sunday morning, April 24, at Donelson Heights United Methodist Church, Nashville, TN.

We were part of the 2005 Composers Concert held on Sunday, April 24, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church where we performed a couple of our numbers as well as the "Ring of Fire" concerto for handbells and orchestra written by Kevin McChesney.
